Description

This comprehensive prairie mix is designed to provide broad ecological function and season-long habitat support across a wide range of native prairie environments. Featuring the greatest species diversity of any of our seed mixes, it offers a complete solution for restoration projects, pollinator habitat, wildlife enhancement, and native meadow establishment.

The mix includes a diverse selection of native graminoids with bunching growth habits that create valuable open structure for ground-nesting birds such as the Western Meadowlark. A wide variety of native forbs provide continuous bloom coverage from April through August, supporting pollinators and beneficial insects throughout the growing season.

Early-season bloomers such as American Yellow Rocket provide critical forage for some of the first emerging native mining bees, while Rosy Plectritis serves as an important nectar resource for queen bumblebees as they emerge in spring and prepare to establish nests. Later in the season, species including Showy Milkweed, Gumweed, and Goldenrod provide essential nectar resources as pollinators build reserves for overwintering.

Beyond pollinator support, this mix also promotes the insect diversity needed by native songbirds to successfully feed and raise their young, making it an excellent choice for creating resilient, wildlife-supporting prairie habitat with exceptional ecological value and visual diversity.
