Slender hairgrass is a moderate sized, fine textured, cool season grass. It is generally a biennial or short-lived perennial under most conditions. An important addition to wetland grass mixtures. It is a moderate to fast growing native bunchgrass useful for erosion control along waterways, ditches, and streambanks, as well as on other seasonally wet or recently disturbed sites.
