Description

This carefully selected native seed mix features many of the species we carry that are recognized as valuable nectar sources and larval host plants for native butterflies throughout the Pacific Northwest. Designed to support pollinators across multiple life stages, this blend helps create vibrant habitat that benefits both butterflies and the broader ecosystem.

Species included in this mix provide critical forage and habitat for a wide variety of native butterflies. Camas species serve as nectar sources for butterflies such as the Anise Swallowtail, Cedar Hairstreak, Edith’s Checkerspot, and Propertius Duskywing. The Willamette Valley endemic wildflower Sidalcea campestris (Tall Checkerbloom) functions as both a larval host for Gray Hairstreaks and a nectar source for the Checkered Skipper. Western Buttercup provides nectar for Cedar Hairstreak, while our native Showy Milkweed serves as the sole larval host plant for the endangered Monarch butterfly and an important nectar source for Anise Swallowtails.

Ideal for restoration projects, pollinator habitat enhancement, and native meadow plantings, this mix offers exceptional ecological value while creating a diverse and visually striking wildflower display.
