This tufted wetland grass is a key component of wet prairie habitats and wet ditches, prefering the most saturated soils until early-summer. It needs full sun, and soils that are either seasonally flooded (even if they dry out in summer) or consistently damp. It works great in rain gardens and bioswales. 2-3 ft.
